Our Travels

I have managed to convert Zack to a travel lover, when he first saw my profile (yep, we met through a dating site) and showed his mum she said ‘but she likes to travel!’ He just needed someone to show him how fun it can be.

Unlike many young couples who have given up the 9-5 we do not travel fulltime. Both of us are very close to parents and not seeing them for longer than a couple of months is just not something we could do. We also differ in that we actually bought a house despite knowing we were going to be away alot. The house is an investment, if we need it can be rented out or can facilitate our using house swapping as a means to travel.

We travel in a few ways –

House sitting
Free accommodation in return for house and often pet care. It has proved a marvellous way of seeing new places and having home comforts at the same time.

Campervan
Previously a LDV convoy which we took to France for a month. Currently a VW T4 which comes with us when house sitting. We love to have a home from home on wheels – waking up in a comfy bed to a amazing sunrise next to the sea cannot be beaten.

airbnb
Very good value rooms and apartments all over the world. You get to meet some great hosts who will give you lots of local information.

We believe in quality over quantity when it comes to travel so have been to a lot of places in England and France so far. The cities being listed below. Before Zack I traveled a little with my family and went to Barcelona, New York, Vienna and Washington DC.
